Envirco Corporation Introduces MAC 10 Rx™ Fan Filter Unit for Use in Critical Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences Environments

Albuquerque, N.M., November 24, 2003 – Envirco Corporation, a division of Fedders Engineered Products, introduces the Envirco MAC 10 Rx ™ Fan Filter Unit (FFU) . The Mac 10 Rx ™ is specially designed for pharmaceutical processing environments where General Manufacturing Practices necessitate maximum performance and serviceability of cleanroom fan/filter units. The MAC 10 Rx ™ combines low sound and vibration with low watts and a low profile to provide optimal performance that minimizes the presence of contaminants in critical areas. Designated “RSRE” for room-side replaceable everything, the unit features a room-side replaceable 1/3hp ECM motor and gel seal HEPA filter. Combined with the field adjustable digital control unit, the brushless DC motor automatically compensates for filter loading, maintaining constant airflow velocity.

Measuring only 54 dBA, the MAC 10 Rx ™ is the only 2 ft. x 4 ft. (595 mm x 1190 mm) unit that runs at 100 watts. The MAC 10 Rx, which is available in 120V, 208-240V and 277V models, also maintains a low profile of less than 16 in. (406mm). Its snap-in, washable prefilter is easy to replace and maintain, and the top housing (excluding prefilter) is walkable.

The standard unit is constructed of an all-aluminum housing with perforated stainless steel face screen. Options include ultra-low penetration air (ULPA) filter 99.9995% efficient at 0.12 micron, 304 stainless steel housing, three-speed 1/5 hp AC motor with low, medium and high settings, room-side indicator light, remote Infra-Red hand-held control, computer control system, room-side challenge (DOP) ports, custom sizes and configurations.
