Laminar Downflow Module

SPECIFICATIONS

Filters
Aluminum framed HEPA type with a minimum efficiency of 99.99% @ 0.3 micron, aerosol challenged (zero probed.) Enviralok® Filter Framing System constructed of welded, tubular aluminum with spring-loaded locking pawls, for uniform pressure on the HEPA filters.
Prefilters
Disposable - 30% ASHRAE.
Airflow
90 feet per minute (0.45 m/s) ±10 FPM (0.05 m/s) average velocity measured 5 ft. (1524 mm) from the diffuser screen. Uniformity ±20% of average or better (with curtains in place.)
Air Supply Plenums
Constructed of welded steel and supplied with interior deflector vanes for even air distribution.
Motor/Blower Assembly

Motor frames constructed of 12 gauge steel and mounted on rubber-in-shear vibration isolators.

Sized to provide rated airflow through a 50% increase in static pressure.

Blower speed controlled by adjustable sheave on the motor.

Optional motor/blower locations available.
Electrical

Motor/Blower - 230/460 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz. Wiring for motor lights terminate in junction boxes located on the motor and motor/blower box respectively.
Construction

Welded steel air plenum with exterior polyurethane enamel finish.

Interior surfaces insulated with acoustical material.

Suspension brackets and mounting nuts at four corners of module provided for ceiling suspension (5/8 in. threaded rods not included).
Options
  • Clear 16 mil. flexible, weighted vinyl curtain
  • Tubular 3.5 in. (89 mm) square steel support legs with mounting brackets for 8 ft. (2438 mm) clear work area height
  • 5 in. (127 mm) swivel locking castors for support legs
  • Type 304 stainless steel cabinet and filter diffuser screens
  • Electrical Controls
    • Operates lights and blower module
    • Designed for remote location or for attachment to support leg
      (mounting hardware provided by others)
  • Pressure Gauges
    • Senses static pressure drop across filters
    • 0 to 2.0 in. w.g. range
    • Mounted on side of module blower housing
